Jane's Appeal was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE to raise funds for children's and cancer charities. The charities that have benefited from Jane's support cover all areas including medical research, cancer treatment and specialist care. To date some £1.85 million has been raised and Jane's family led by Mike Tomlinson is determined to continue the great work started by Jane and drive the amount raised above £2 Million and beyond.

Mike Tomlinson and daughter Rebecca have announced plans to ride 1,400 miles in memory of wife and mother Jane and to raise money for Jane’s Appeal.....
The Leeds 10k is Jane Tomlinson’s main legacy event. In 2007 8,000 people took part raising over £500,000 for charities and good causes. The 2008 event has already been filled with a capacity of 11,000 and it promises to go from strength to strength in future years. Our partner charities may still have places available and we have also established a waiting list, should people advise us they cannot take part this year, so you may yet still be able to take part. Junior/Family Run
In creating The Leeds 10k it was always Jane’s intention that it would be an event for
all ages and abilities. The inaugral event truly was a ‘run for all’ but to expand on this
the 2008 event will see the inclusion of a Junior/Famiy Fun Run.
